On Earth as it is in St. Valentine (a poem)

On Earth as it is in St. Valentine

a poem I wrote on Feb 14, 2019, nearly two years sober from alcohol

Tell me,

What are your heart-centered moments?

When do they happen?

For me it’s

nature

walking in the city

slushy or snowy I still

am in awe of it

The weather can be shit

and still I think,

“What a beautiful day,”

because just to be alive here

is a miracle.

Two people had to meet

fall into mutual weirdness

that they call love

+ decide to create together

not a small choice

Your soul had to choose:

this body, these parents

this timing

Yes.

Now.

You chose to grow and trust and love

to transform the lives of those

that birthed you

It is not a small choice

to come here,

to Earth,

to grow in this heavy place

When our Souls know no limits

Creation is instant

+ Love is all there is.

It is not a small choice,

and that is why We are revered:

the Souls that chose this path

to come to Earth at a time with so much pain

It is ours to love

+ transform

It is ours.

With humor, and closeness,

understanding,

+ Love,

It is ours to transform.

Many will say it cannot be done,

but we will show them.

Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️
